Special Instructions for UK Orders

  • Date of Birth: enter in American format (MM/DD/YYYY) - we convert it to UK standards automatically.
  • Titles: Mr, Miss, Mrs, Lord - add to the start of the first-name field.
  • Email: use Gmail or ProtonMail. Avoid @comcast / @icloud (delivery issues).
  • Height & Weight: filled in automatically for UK orders - leave them as they are.
  • Hair & Eye colour: pick anything - UK licences don't show these.

PHOTO GUIDELINES

Bad photo = +24 hours waiting. Take 60 seconds, get it right.

Heads up - date of birth on older-version states. Some states (for example South Carolina, Texas, and California) are produced as older - but still fully valid - design versions. For these, the date of birth is automatically adjusted to match the version we produce.
THE QUICK VERSION Real camera (not phone if avoidable) → plain wall → dark clothes → 6-8 ft away → flash on → head straight, no glasses.

1. The camera

USE: a real digital camera, 20+ megapixels. A modern phone in good light is OK.

DON'T: low-res webcam · old phone · screenshot of another photo · cropped social-media pic.

2. The background

USE: plain wall, single colour, light or neutral. Dark clothing for contrast.

DON'T: patterned walls · outdoor scenes · light clothing on a light wall · people/objects in shot.

3. Face & pose

USE: head straight · eyes clear · neutral expression · no glasses · no hat.

Hair behind the ears, off the eyes. Closed mouth, slight neutral expression.

4. Distance + lighting

  • Stand 6 to 8 feet away - framed waist-up
  • Flash ON - we handle cropping and colour balance
  • Balanced lighting - no harsh shadows on your face
  • Camera at eye level

5. Auto-reject - photos to skip

  • Selfies or zoomed-in head shots - need waist-up
  • Outdoors / in sunlight
  • Photos of your phone screen
  • Hat, hood, glasses, or face covering
  • Multiple people in the shot
  • Text / watermark / timestamp overlay

SIGNATURE GUIDELINES

Wrong pen = your order gets sent back. Read this once, get it right.

THE QUICK VERSION Black Sharpie Fine Point → plain white paper → sign your full name ~5 cm wide → phone flat above the paper → daylight.

1. The pen - most rejections happen here

USE: Sharpie Fine Point (the regular black Sharpie, round tip).

DON'T USE: chisel-tip marker · ballpoint · gel pen · fineliner · highlighter.

2. The paper

USE: plain white printer paper. Blank. Letter-size or A4.

DON'T USE: lined notebook paper · receipt paper · coloured paper.

3. The actual signature

Sign your full name like you'd sign a credit-card receipt - ~5 to 6 cm wide, readable letters, middle of the page.

DON'T: sign too small, scribble a squiggle, do initials only, or trace over the same line twice.

4. The photo

  • Phone directly above the paper - flat, not tilted
  • Paper fills most of the frame
  • Good daylight or a bright lamp - no hand shadow
  • Sharp focus - if it looks blurry on your screen, retake it

5. Auto-reject - signatures to skip

  • A photo of your phone screen - photograph the paper, not the screen
  • Paper on your lap or blanket - lay it flat on a table
  • Tilted, skewed, or cropped
  • Blurry, dark, or shadowed
  • Anything that's not black Sharpie

4-second check before you hit send

  1. Is the pen clearly a Sharpie Fine Point?
  2. Is the background pure white with no lines or shadows?
  3. Can you read every letter of your name?
  4. Is the photo flat and sharp, taken directly above?

Tracking: tracking numbers are issued around 12 days after an order is confirmed on $20 and $50 shipping, and around 7 days on $120/$200 Super Express. Tracking appears once the parcel is dispatched - the shipping window you choose starts from dispatch, not from checkout.
